What this policy covers
This policy explains how Nilaanjan handles information associated with your use of blog.nilaanjan.stream, including information submitted through reader comments.
Information you provide
If you submit a comment, the comments system collects your name, email address and comment text. Your email address is used for moderation and is not displayed publicly.
Information generated when you comment
The comments system also records the time a comment was submitted, a hashed representation of the requesting IP address and a limited User-Agent value. The IP-derived value is used by the comments system for abuse and rate-limiting controls.
How comments are handled
Submitted comments are placed into a pending state and are moderated before publication. Approved comments display publicly with the information necessary to identify the commenter by the submitted name and to display the comment.
Public information
An approved comment may display your submitted name, comment text and the date on which it was submitted. Your email address, IP-derived value and User-Agent information are not part of the public comment response.
Deletion and corrections
Comments can be removed through the site's moderation system. If you want to request removal or correction of information you submitted, contact Nilaanjan through an available contact channel. Requests may require enough information to identify the relevant submission.
Retention
Nilaanjan does not currently publish a fixed automatic deletion period for comment records. Information may remain in the comments system until it is deleted through moderation or another applicable administrative process.
Cookies and similar technologies
Nilaanjan currently does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The website may use browser local storage to remember a reader's display-theme preference. See theCookie & Tracking Policy for more detail.
Third-party services
The site may contain links to external websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies when you leave Nilaanjan.
Security
Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect information handled by the site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site's features, data practices or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
