Panchayat Season 4
My review of Panchayat Season 4 — a hugely enjoyable return that remains one of the easiest series to recommend.

My Take
Panchayat Season 4 is exactly the kind of season I want from a series I already care about: familiar, warm, funny and genuinely enjoyable. I really enjoyed watching it, and for me that enjoyment is the biggest reason the season reaches a 4.8/5 rating. What I like about Panchayat is that it does not need to constantly reinvent itself to remain entertaining. The world of Phulera already has a personality, and the characters have become familiar enough that spending time with them feels natural. Season 4 continues that strength while adding another layer of conflict through the village election storyline.
That balance is what works so well for me. The series can be funny without making every scene feel like it is desperately trying to deliver a joke. It can also introduce tension without losing the warmth that makes Panchayat different from many other Indian series. I particularly enjoy the fact that the show understands its own pace. It does not have to turn every development into a massive event. Small situations, character interactions and everyday village politics are enough to keep things moving.
That makes Panchayat unusually comfortable viewing, but I would not mistake comfortable for boring. Season 4 remained engaging for me because I already cared about the characters and their relationships. The returning cast also helps preserve that familiarity. Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa and the rest of the ensemble continue to make Phulera feel lived-in rather than constructed simply as a backdrop.
This is also why I think the season works particularly well for viewers who have followed the earlier chapters. There is a sense of continuity that makes the situations matter more because you already know the people involved. I came away from the season feeling that I had genuinely enjoyed my time with it. That is a much stronger reaction than simply thinking a show was competent or acceptable.
Who Should Watch It?
If you have watched the earlier seasons of Panchayat, I would absolutely recommend continuing with Season 4. And if you have somehow still not started the series, this is the kind of show that deserves a place on your watchlist. Its humour, warmth and grounded characters make it unusually easy to settle into.

The Verdict
Panchayat Season 4 delivered exactly what I wanted from another season of a show I already enjoy. It remains warm, funny and character-driven without losing the qualities that made the earlier seasons work for me. For me, this is firmly a must-watch. My Rating: 4.8/5 Verdict: Must-watch.
