The Traitors Season 2: Cast, Format, Episodes & Where to Watch

The Traitors returned for its second Indian season with a larger celebrity ensemble and the same deceptively simple premise: figure out who is lying before the people you trust eliminate you. Karan Johar is back as host, with 21 contestants entering the game.

How The Traitors works

The contestants are divided into two secret roles. Most are Innocents. A smaller group are Traitors. The Traitors secretly eliminate players. The Innocents have to identify them and remove them through the game’s banishment process. Everyone is also competing for a shared prize. That means the show is not purely about winning challenges. It is about reading behaviour, building alliances and deciding when another player’s actions stop looking trustworthy.

Host

Karan Johar continues as host. His role is important to the format because he controls the game’s ceremonies and public discussions without being a contestant himself.

Where can you watch it?

The Traitors Season 2 streams on Prime Video.

Why the format remains interesting

The biggest difference between The Traitors and a conventional reality competition is that information itself becomes a weapon. A contestant can be truthful and still look suspicious. A Traitor can lie successfully while behaving exactly like an innocent player. That makes the audience pay attention to social patterns as much as the formal challenges.

The eventual review should therefore focus on the actual contestant dynamics and editing rather than simply assuming that the international format guarantees an entertaining season.
