Peshawri, Ahmedabad
A personal review of Peshawri at ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad — good food, but not quite the experience expected from a restaurant at this level.

Peshawri, Ahmedabad Review
My Take
Peshawri is one of those restaurants where expectations arrive before the food does. Being part of ITC Narmada and carrying the Peshawri name, I expected a dining experience that would feel exceptional from start to finish.
The food was good, but for me it stopped short of being great. The biryani was probably the highlight of the meal, and the non-vegetarian dishes were good enough overall. Nothing felt badly prepared, but I kept expecting that extra layer of flavour, finesse or memorable character that you associate with a restaurant at this level.
The vegetarian food was more okayish than impressive. Again, there was nothing disastrous about it; the issue was simply that the meal did not create the sense of occasion I expected.
That distinction matters. A three-star review here isn’t saying Peshawri serves bad food. It is saying that when the restaurant comes with the ITC Narmada setting, reputation and pricing expectations, “good enough” doesn’t quite feel sufficient.
What Stood Out
Peshawri is worth experiencing if you are staying at ITC Narmada or specifically want the North-West Frontier style of dining, but I personally expected more from it.
Who Should Go
People staying at ITC Narmada, fans of kebabs and North-West Frontier cuisine, and diners who want to experience a well-known ITC restaurant.
Verdict
3/5 — Good food, a strong setting and a prestigious address — but my meal didn’t reach the level of memorable fine dining I expected.
