The Ummed, Ahmedabad
My review of The Ummed Ahmedabad — a disappointing experience defined by poor service and below-average food quality.

The Ummed, Ahmedabad Review
My Take
The Ummed was easily one of the more disappointing dining experiences in this batch. My biggest problem wasn’t one isolated dish. It was the combination of poor service and below-average food quality, which made the entire experience frustrating. When you visit a property positioned in the premium hotel space, basic service expectations are already quite high. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel those expectations were met.
The food itself didn’t give me a reason to overlook the service. There wasn’t enough quality or consistency to make the meal memorable in a positive way. For me, that combination turns this from an average restaurant into an avoidable one. There are plenty of places in Ahmedabad where you can get better food and a much more satisfying overall experience.
A two-star rating reflects that distinction: this wasn’t simply a meal that failed to impress me. The overall experience was poor enough that I wouldn’t choose to return.
What Stood Out
Poor service combined with below-average food makes this an easy pass for me.
Who Should Go
I wouldn’t specifically recommend it as a dining destination based on my experience.
Verdict
2/5 — A disappointing experience. Poor service and below-average food make The Ummed an avoidable choice for me.
